     & Quality Research

XO concept store
At the beginning of the project, I designed a fanny pack, which can be separated from its belt.
Due to sustainable + marketing reasons, me and my group developed a modular bag collection.

However the development of the collection was just a small part of the entire project.
After I created a bag collection based on different types of research, we worked on a buying plan for our product line. The different products, designed by ourselves and realized by our partner Universities, were presented in a pilot store.
The xo pouches were something I sew myself to underline our concept & to improve our store presentation.

The XO project was one of my favourites!
It is one of Saxion's Buying-projects. During this project, we worked together with partner Universities in China, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Hungary.
Each group worked with one of the partner Universities.
In the beginning of the project, every group could choose their preferred product line. Each group member could pick their preferred role.
My group and I chose to create a bag collection out of textiles. We presented garments and accessories for the whole family in our store.
During the entire project, I fulfilled the role of the Designer & Visual Merchandiser.

PROCESS BOOK
MATERIAL PACK
This process book is based on my inspiration OUTER SPACE and contains all the information, that we got to know in the first quarter of the Fashion & Textile Technologies study at Saxion.

The book had been used to introduce myself, my way of thinking and my skills.
For the start of our studies, the F&TT students got a material package with all types of materials, that are needed during the study time. Materials like scissors, pens, rulers, needles, yarn etc. The material package had one compartment only and was therefore not that practical. It had a plain & unremarkable look.
After creating the outer space process book, I used my knowledge and inspiration to design a new material package for my sewing equipment.

To improve the usability of the bag, I measured the tools, which need to be carried in the material pack. Based on these measurements I implemented some bags and developed my own pattern.

Because I worked with lucent PVC instead of a common fabric, I could insert some lights and glow in the dark stars into the bag. I also used some velvet fabric for the look. It turned out into a special bag, for sure.
HNST

HNST or 'Honest' is a Belgian company which was founded by Tom Duhoux in 2017.

Due to HNST, a sustainable production, a transparent supply chain, as well as maintenance and repair service for their jeans leads to “the world's most sustainable” jeans.

HNST was looking for a concept to launch their jeans in Belgium. The products should convince their potential customers by their quality and sustainability.

LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS

In order to place the new developed recycled jeans collection of HNST on the market, Stichting Texperium and HNST asked for our help to brand their collection.

Several tests in terms of yarn and fabric quality were conducted.

Next to that, the impact on the environment of the items, during their life phase, were analyzed

We used the Modint Eco-Tool to determine the environmental impact of HNSTs jeans. This tool offers broad options from fiber types to dying techniques.

However, the outcome of the Eco-Tool is a bit vaguand hard to understand

Therefore, my team and me decided

to create a booklet which visualizes the outcomes and gives explanation where necessary.

I translated the researched numbers into graphs and charts to use visualize the impact of HNSTS jeans.

This book is supposed to be used for promotion or business activities by the company HNST. Therefore, the design is based on HNSTs cooperate identity.
